About Us

Eachells Fine Furniture is an innovative company which handcrafts fully custom made fine furniture, from Museum calibre, antique reproductions and contemporary designs.

Our traditional methods of handcrafted techniques and detailed carving sets us apart from our competitors. Our beautifully crafted furniture is built to stand the test of time and to be admired by many, for years to come.

Our clients are provided with detailed scale drawings of their bespoke furniture items, prior to commencing production.

We only select the best timbers available, ensuring that only the best possible furniture is produced from our factory. Our craft is second to none. Trained by the European masters of French joinery and using gilding techniques dating back from the 16th century, Eachells Fine Furniture is dedicated to the craft of fine furniture design and production.

Craftsmanship

Once a design is agreed upon, Eachells Fine Furniture will start conceptual drawings, which will be completed within a three week period. On approval of the workshop drawing, we will present you with a price and a contract document. An estimated delivery date will be established and a copy of a signed approved workshop drawing will be mailed once a deposit is received.

The first stage of production begins with a full scale drawing of the necessary sections. Our furniture involves a tremendous amount of hand work. If necessary we would ask you to visit our factory to view areas of the project, to ensure that they meet with your expectations. Once the project is complete, we will ask you to visit and give your finale approval prior to the surface finishing of the piece.

The finishing process is painstaking and can take almost as long as the actual piece!

Total amount of time is usually between 4 to 6 months, but maybe shorter or longer. Our payment terms are 60% at the signing, 30% prior to finish, and 10% upon completion, before delivery.

Manufacturing

The cost of having a commissioned piece made is based largely on the amount of labour hours it takes to make. Material cost is usually not more than 20%.

The remaining 80% of the cost is attributable to labour. Unlike mass produced furniture items, the value of an Eachells piece will increase over time. It’s value appreciates, particularly when its an original design. All our commissions are hand signed and dated. All carvings are done by hand.

AIM

To preserve a sense of history.

CHAIRS

Our chairs are handmade, doweled, with corner blocks and glue. No staples are used to assemble them and they have a lifetime guarantee on workmanship.

FURNITURE CARE

Because of the high quality of our finish, very little maintenance is needed or recommended. The furniture may be cleaned as often as you like with a light damp cloth. No wax or polishes are needed and  an occasional wipe down with a recommended wax will not harm your furniture.
